Citibank Reveals Bitcoin (BTC) 2026 Price Prediction! Two Bull and One Bear Scenarios Presented!
The leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), has experienced a decline in the last three months of the year, and expectations for a rise have been postponed until 2026.
At this point, as price predictions for 2026 continue to come in, the latest forecast comes from Citibank.
According to the bank’s latest report, Bitcoin is projected to reach $143,000 within a year.
Citibank has summarized possible scenarios for the expected price of Bitcoin in 2026. According to Citi analysts, the base scenario for Bitcoin price is $143,000, while the bullish scenario is $189,000.
In their bearish forecast, Citi analysts predicted that the Bitcoin price could fall to around $78,500.
Analysts led by Alex Saunders, Citibank’s global head of quantitative macro strategy, said, “Our predictions, particularly for Bitcoin, are based on the assumption that investor adoption will continue and that the $15 billion inflow into ETFs will boost token prices.”
The bank also stated in its predictions that the development of specific crypto regulations and the withdrawal of lawsuits against major platforms were also influential factors.
However, Citibank analysts also noted that volatility is likely to continue in the short term. Citi stated, “While the cryptocurrency market may have moved past the phase of relying on excessive expectations, it is in a transitional phase significantly influenced by the macroeconomic environment and financial market trends. The recovery path will likely be gradual and uneven.”
