Investing in cryptocurrencies can yield either a substantial profit or a substantial loss. While there are many investments in both directions, one company made a huge profit on a surprising altcoin.
Accordingly, Paradigm, a leading venture capital firm in the cryptocurrency field, made a huge profit from its investment in the altcoin called HYPE.
It is estimated that there is currently $765.4 million worth of Hyperliqued (HYPE) tokens, generating an unrealized gain of 142%, or $450 million.
Earnings Over 100 Percent!
The on-chain analyst, known by the nickname MLM at X, reported in a post that Pradigm invested $315 million in HYPE at an average price of $16.46 per token, generating approximately $450 million in unrealized gains.
Stating that he reached this conclusion by tracking wallets and transactions that he estimated belonged to Paradigm, the analyst argued that these results would make Paradigm by far the largest HYPE holding company, with approximately 2% of the total supply and approximately 6% of the circulating supply.
The HYPE investment highlights Paradigm’s ability to identify and support high-potential blockchain projects at an early stage, while solidifying its reputation as a top-tier investor in this field.
However, these gains still carry significant risks, as the cryptocurrency market is inherently volatile, and a sharp decline could rapidly reduce the value of the company’s HYPE tokens.
Additionally, the liquidity of the tokens is also a concern as selling a large portion of the HYPE tokens could negatively impact the token price.
HYPE, which has fallen by over 14 percent in the last week, continues to trade at $37.7 at the time of writing.
