Cardano has secured prominent visibility after being mentioned on the main website of the Olympic Games.
The recognition comes following a landmark three-year partnership signed between the Cardano Foundation and the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), which is aimed at integrating public blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) into Olympic sports management.
A three-year roadmap
The Cardano Foundation stated that the initiative is meant to establish the COB as a global benchmark.
It showcases how sports organizations can successfully operate on a public blockchain.
The three-year roadmap is structured around four pillars, including identity, fan engagement, equipment tracking, and governance.
Institutional participation
The main goal is to leverage emerging technologies to bolster institutional transparency, improve information security, and enhance operational efficiency.
The Cardano Foundation confirmed that the integration process is already underway.
The first executive workshop was recently concluded, and practical, institutional pilot projects are expected to launch in the coming months.
COB Chief Executive Officer Emanuel Rego noted that the partnership extends beyond mere technical upgrades.
He has stressed the effort to educate the sporting community on the potential of blockchain technology.
Kraken’s deal
In the meantime, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has signed on as the Official Crypto Exchange Supporter for the FIFA World Cup 202 across North America and Europe.
The collaboration aspires to bridge the global football audience with digital asset trading.
