COZ distributes 525 NEO across AI tooling, token vesting, wallet improvements in Proof of Working 2.6
COZ awarded 525 $NEO to three independent contributors in Proof of Working 2.6, recognizing work on multi-chain AI agent tooling, trustless token vesting infrastructure, and wallet interoperability improvements for the Neo ecosystem.
The sixth round since the program’s relaunch in January brings cumulative distributions to 4,189 $NEO across the period, with the program designed to reward grassroots contributions that fall outside traditional grant pathways.
Neo AI Agent adds Neo X support
Developer thermx5 was recognized for expanding the Neo AI Agent with full Neo X EVM support. The CLI-first tool maps natural-language requests to on-chain operations across both Neo N3 and Neo X, allowing users to check balances, inspect blocks, handle ERC-20 and ERC-721 assets, and preview transactions from a single interface.
The Neo X integration, merged May 3, uses the viem TypeScript library and introduces interactive chain selection during sessions, improved prompt routing between Neo N3 and Neo X, and strengthened CI coverage. Write operations on Neo X prepare transaction previews only while broadcasts require explicit user confirmation through a pending-action flow.
The agent supports an optional OpenAI or Gemini planner alongside a built-in fallback for common prompts, and accepts NeoNS names in place of raw Neo N3 addresses. thermx5 has been a recurring Proof of Working contributor, previously recognized in rounds 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4 for a Neo Analytics dashboard.
NeoVest recognized for on-chain vesting
Developer fireche received recognition for NeoVest, a trustless token vesting platform for NEP-17 assets on Neo N3. The tool supports cliff, linear, and stepped vesting models through immutable smart contracts. Once tokens are deposited, the owner cannot withdraw early, alter unlock dates, or redirect beneficiaries.
NNT previously covered NeoVest in detail alongside fireche’s Gasetta development tracker in a standalone article. The platform remains in alpha and has not been externally audited. fireche was previously recognized in Proof of Working 2.1 for a Sign In With Neo Supabase starter kit.
FORGE expands wallet compatibility
AboimPinto was recognized for improvements to FORGE, a token-launch tool with bonding-curve trading and built-in tax logic. This round’s work focused on broadening wallet support and mobile readiness rather than core functionality.
The additions include WalletConnect and AppKit integration alongside the existing NeoLine support, improved flows for Neon Desktop and Neon Mobile wallets, and an Android WalletConnect proof of concept for mobile-friendly access. AboimPinto also introduced a shared wallet harness for CI testing and automated emulator coverage in GitHub Actions. The developer was previously recognized in rounds 2.3 and 2.4.
Looking ahead
The three contributions span distinct layers of the ecosystem, including developer tooling, financial primitives, and application access. COZ noted in the round’s writeup that “ecosystem progress is stronger when it compounds across usage layers.”
Proof of Working submissions are accepted through the COZ Discord. Contributions must be open-sourced under the Apache 2.x License and cannot be funded through existing grants or contracts.
