Unexpected Bitcoin Statement from Big Bull Michael Saylor – He’d Never Written About This Before
Michael Saylor, founder and chairman of Strategy, sparked new speculation about the company’s Bitcoin reserves by reposting its $BTC data.
Saylor stated in her post, “We need a different color.” Some market participants interpreted this message as a possible move by Strategy to strengthen its cash reserves rather than recently purchasing Bitcoin. In the chart, $BTC purchases were shown in orange. However, the company has not made an official statement regarding the meaning of the post.
Saylor’s past posting habits indicate that most of his updates are published a day before any changes to the company’s reserves are announced. Therefore, an official statement regarding Strategy’s current Bitcoin position is expected soon.
According to data shared as of July 26, 2026, Strategy holds a total of 843,775 Bitcoin. The current value of the company’s $BTC reserves is estimated at approximately $54.63 billion, while the total cost is recorded as $63.83 billion.
Strategy’s average cost per Bitcoin is $75,653. Based on current prices, the company’s unrealized loss on Bitcoin investments is approximately $9.20 billion, or 14.41%.
Recent transaction data shows the company sold $BTC in July after making purchases in June. On July 6th, Strategy sold 2,225 $BTC at an average price of $60,773 per Bitcoin, generating approximately $135.22 million.
The company also sold 1,363 Bitcoin on June 30 at an average price of $59,256, generating approximately $80.77 million in sales.
