Top Analyst Says Bitcoin Is at a Critical Turning Point: “We’re at the Bottom of the Bear Market, and From Here On…”
Renowned cryptocurrency analyst Benjamin Cowen, in his latest analysis video, evaluated recent developments and historical cycles in the Bitcoin market. Noting that Bitcoin is trading between $64,000 and $65,000, Cowen argued that market dynamics and investor interest show similarities to past cycles, suggesting that the upcoming period marks a critical turning point.
Cowen pointed out that social interest and investor excitement in the cryptocurrency market have significantly decreased. He stated that social risk indicators have fallen to levels as low as 0.2, which is considerably lower than the levels seen four years ago. Cowen added that market volatility has dried up considerably and a sense of distrust prevails among investors, noting that the current situation bears a strong resemblance to the end-of-bear market periods experienced in 2018 and 2022.
Cowen stated that historical data shows Bitcoin markets typically bottom out during the summer months, followed by a period of stagnation with low volatility, suggesting that the main move could occur in the last quarter of the year. He noted that on-chain indicators like the MVRV Z-Score haven’t yet fallen below the zero level, signaling a bottom, and that it’s too early to say the market has truly bottomed out.
According to the analyst, a development that could shake the market in the coming weeks and trigger a final wave of decline may occur. Cowen argues that such an event would draw investors back into the market and pave the way for a new bull cycle, predicting October as the most likely timeframe for seeing the bottom. However, he also stated that September or November are also possibilities, and advised cryptocurrency followers to be cautious and prepared for the crucial moment in the market.
