As of the morning of August 11, 2026, U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) concept stocks showed mixed performance in pre-market trading as capital rotation and emerging crypto-adjacent tokenized equities gained traction. Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) fell 1.07% in early trading, while peers such as Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Micron Technology (MU), Marvell Technology (MRVL), and Arista Networks (ANET) posted small gains.

Major U.S. AI Concept Stocks Show Mixed Pre-Market Performance

According to data from MSX.COM, major U.S. AI concept stocks are trading mixed in pre-market activity, with PLTR down 1.07%. Meanwhile, a few semiconductor and networking stocks are higher, including AMD (0.68%), MU (0.46%), MRVL (0.26%) and ANET (0.25%). This mixed pattern reflects selective positioning rather than a uniform move across the AI sector.

After recent strong gains in certain AI stocks, particularly software-focused companies such as Palantir following its earnings, some profit-taking is emerging alongside continued demand for semiconductor and AI infrastructure companies. The divergence indicates that the investor sentiment is cautious yet active, focusing on distinct parts of the AI market instead of the overall AI sector. Pre-market levels can change rapidly before the opening of the regular U.S. market.

Why RWA Platforms Tokenize U.S. Stocks and AI Shares

Real-world asset (RWA) platforms are tokenizing major U.S. stocks and ETFs, including high-profile AI-related stocks, mainly to bridge traditional equity markets with blockchain infrastructure. This creates digital tokens which mirror the economic exposure to the underlying equity or securities, typically provided on a 1:1 basis with physical securities held in custody or through compliant wrappers

In addition, key drivers include expanded global access, 24/7 trading, fractional ownership, the speed of settlements, and market demand. Tokenized equities enable eligible users globally to access these securities via crypto wallets and stablecoins like USDT and USDC, reducing onboarding frictions. Platforms like MSX.COM list hundreds of RWA tokens for major U.S. stocks and ETFs, such as AAPL, AMZN, GOOGL, META, MSFT, NFLX, NVDA and many more.

What’s Next for the Wall Street-DeFi Convergence?

As the trend of equity and asset tokenization gathers momentum, it highlights a clear move towards the convergence of Wall Street and DeFi. Traditional market infrastructure is now showing greater interest in a trend that started with crypto-native efforts to tokenize U.S. stocks and ETFs. In July 2026, DTCC completed its first live production trades in tokenized securities, involving more than 30 firms, including BlackRock, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Nasdaq, NYSE, Circle, and others.

Wall Street and DeFi are both looking at tokenized assets from various perspectives, with their objectives becoming more and more aligned. Traditional institutions focus on regulated custody, legal ownership and investor protections, while DeFi platforms emphasize 24/7 trading, fractional access, stablecoin settlement and global reach. These two financial systems are increasingly becoming intertwined by blockchain.

Looking forward, the planned commercial launch of DTCC in October 2026, regulatory clarity, hybrid platforms and institutional adoption could further accelerate tokenization. However, challenges still persist around legal rights, regulatory coordination, liquidity and multiple token versions of the same security.
