Former Credit Suisse Executive Reveals Bitcoin Price Forecast: Extremely Bullish
Remarkable statements continue to emerge regarding institutional investor interest in the Bitcoin market. CK Zheng, former global valuation risk manager at Credit Suisse, stated that the worst period for Bitcoin may be over and predicted that the $BTC price could reach $150,000 by the end of 2027.
According to Zheng, key factors that could support a new bull cycle in Bitcoin include reduced regulatory uncertainty surrounding the cryptocurrency sector, continued institutional adoption, and the potential adoption of the regulation known as the CLARITY Act in the US.
The former Credit Suisse executive also believes that the growing US government debt could increase demand for Bitcoin and gold. Zheng stated that investors may increasingly prefer $BTC and gold as hedges against the potential erosion of the dollar’s purchasing power. Bitcoin was trading at approximately $78,535 at the time of the statements.
On the institutional Bitcoin purchase side, Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor made a new announcement. Saylor announced that the company has resumed Bitcoin purchases.
According to data shared by Saylor via X, Strategy purchased an additional 4,603 $BTC for approximately $370 million. During the same period, the company increased its cash assets by $29 million, while the value of its share buybacks rose by $152 million.
Saylor announced that as of August 30, 2026, Strategy held a total of 845,050 $BTC and $6.71 billion in US dollars in assets. The company’s net leverage was also reported to have decreased to 0%.
Based on Bitcoin’s current price of around $78,535, Strategy’s 845,050 $BTC have a market value of approximately $66.4 billion. If CK Zheng’s target of $150,000 is achieved, the theoretical value of the company’s current Bitcoin reserve could exceed $126.7 billion.
