Polymath and High Ridge Trust Partner on Tokenized Securities Infrastructure

Polymath Research Inc., a provider of enterprise-grade infrastructure for regulated digital securities, said on Sept. 11 that it has partnered with High Ridge Trust, a regulated U.S. trust company focused on institutional digital assets. The collaboration is designed to connect Polymath’s tokenization technology with High Ridge Trust’s custody and trading capabilities, giving institutions a more practical path into tokenized markets, according to an announcement the companies published.

Bridging technology and regulated infrastructure

The partnership pairs two complementary capabilities. Polymath brings software for the issuance, compliance and lifecycle management of regulated digital securities, while High Ridge Trust contributes the security, transparency and institutional controls of a regulated trust company. The aim is to combine blockchain-based tokenization with the traditional financial safeguards that institutions require before they participate at scale. “Tokenization becomes far more powerful when technology and regulated financial infrastructure work together,” said Natalie Hirsch, Polymath’s chief financial officer. She added that the firms share the belief that the next generation of capital markets will need blockchain technology and traditional safeguards to operate within a connected ecosystem.

Custody, trading and future yield

Under the agreement, High Ridge Trust will apply its institutional digital asset capabilities to tokenized assets, including custody and client-directed trading, with access to potential yield opportunities as the market develops. Karen Wendel, High Ridge Trust’s president and chief executive officer, said institutional adoption of tokenization requires more than technology. “It requires regulated financial infrastructure, clear responsibilities and controls designed for the realities of digital assets,” she said, adding that the two companies aim to make participation in tokenized markets more practical for institutions.

A public-markets push for Polymath

The tie-up follows Polymath’s Aug. 18 agreement to be acquired by TruGolf Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed company, in a transaction intended to bring Polymath’s blockchain and tokenization infrastructure to U.S. public markets, subject to customary closing conditions. Tokenized-securities infrastructure has drawn a series of institutional deals this year, including ICE’s partnership with tZERO to develop NYSE tokenized securities infrastructure. The companies said they will identify technical and operational initiatives that draw on their respective platforms to create a more connected experience for institutions, while cautioning that those initiatives and the TruGolf acquisition remain subject to market, regulatory and closing conditions.
