US spot Ether exchange-traded funds bled for a sixth straight session Tuesday, losing around $408 million during the stretch. Spot Bitcoin funds recovered the same day with $119 million of new money.

ETHA’s $201.89 million exit was the largest since September 16

Ether funds were down $201.89 million on Tuesday, a sixth consecutive session in the red. BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for all of the outflows, and every other ether ETF saw no net flows.

Trading volume rose by about $192 million from Monday’s $528.09 million. Ether funds’ combined holdings shrank by about $330 million from Monday’s $17.69 billion. Tuesday’s $201.89 million outflow was about four times Monday’s $50.76 million. None of the streak’s first five sessions lost more than $60 million.

The streak commenced with a $2.81 million outflow on September 29. Withdrawals of $59.58 million, $55.37 million, $37.36 million, and $50.76 million followed.

Tuesday’s outflow was the biggest one-day outflow since September 16, when funds lost $224.11 million. Net inflows to date fell to $13.55 billion since launch.

Cumulative inflows stood at $13.96 billion in the last session prior to the streak, on September 28.

According to Cryptopolitan, bitcoin funds drew in close to $999 million and ether funds $269.98 million on September 21, the biggest single-day figure for both since October 2025. IBIT was the leader on that day with $381.4 million.

BlackRock’s IBIT pulled in $122 million as prices slid under $84,000

Tuesday saw Bitcoin ETFs experience $118.86 million of inflows, reversing Monday’s $90 million outflow. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, pulled in $122 million, more than the group’s net total when losses elsewhere are taken into account.

Morgan Stanley’s spot bitcoin ETF, MSBT, drew $7.84 million in net inflows on Tuesday. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust posted a $10.97 million net outflow.

Funds had net assets of $110.68 billion at close, and $1.84 billion traded. Inflows came in on a down day, with Bitcoin skidding from above $86,600 to below $84,000 on Tuesday.

BlackRock’s US head of equity ETFs, Jay Jacobs, said lower thresholds for in-kind transfers have “opened the floodgates” for holders moving direct bitcoin into ETF form. He described wealth managers shifting toward owning bitcoin through funds.

Putting coins in an ETF gives the issuer custody. It also permits options, hedging, and financing strategies.

Cryptopolitan reported that bitcoin funds had inflows of $6.49 billion in the third quarter, which was the best quarter of 2026.

Solana funds saw outflows of $3.68 million on Tuesday, with $XRP ETFs adding $3.14 million.

The Bitwise $XRP fund received $10.55 million, which offset outflows of $4.07 million from Franklin XRPZ and $3.34 million from Canary XRPC. HYPE ETFs gained $2.98 million, while Zcash funds saw no net flows.
