Popular memecoin platform PumpFun may be preparing to launch its own blockchain.
Leaked API documents obtained as a result of technical research conducted in public domains show that the platform is working on an EVM-compatible network, orderbook, Stripe integration, subscription model and token launch features.
Blockchain researchers have identified several endpoints still publicly available on the documents, accessible via the recently re-certified domain api.pump.fun, which belongs to PumpFun. These endpoints include features such as users, posts, messages, videos, Stripe webhooks, order management, and subscriptions.
One particularly notable feature is the existence of schemes that allow users to set subscription prices and launch their own tokens on the platform, suggesting that PumpFun could expand its decentralized finance (DeFi) functionality.
When the format of the “order” schemas is examined, there are hints that EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) based chains may be supported, and PumpFun may even launch its own EVM compatible chain. Terms such as “approvals” in the documentation are also often used for EVM based chains.
In addition, the documentation mentions a previously unannounced “orderbook” feature. While the top of the API documentation states that this server manages an “orderbook,” it’s unclear how this will work or what it will be used for.
The API documentation also includes integrations with Stripe and Privy, which Stripe acquired in 2023. Endpoints that support user-based content creation, videos, live broadcasts, and social interactions are also included in the documentation. These suggest that PumpFun is preparing to integrate social media-like features.
Although no official statement has been made by PumpFun on the subject, the documents that have emerged show that the platform is preparing for a comprehensive expansion. However, all this information is still speculative and unclear.
