AxLabs launches new X Broadcast series “Talk is Cheap”

AxLabs recently launched Talk is Cheap, a new live series hosted on X Broadcast aimed at offering behind-the-scenes insights into its current development efforts, reflections on Web3 trends, and discussions about tools and infrastructure in progress. The inaugural episode aired on Sept. 9 and featured team members from across AxLabs, including founder Guil Sperb Machado.

The opening episode introduced the format of the show and touched on several in-progress initiatives. Much of the discussion centered on AxLabs’ contributions to the Neo X project, particularly work related to the native token bridge and the upcoming arbitrary message bridge, which is currently undergoing final refinements following a recent audit. The team plans to deploy the new functionality to TestNet ahead of Centre Point.

The broadcast also introduced Git My ABI, an internal tool designed to streamline collaboration between smart contract developers and frontend teams by automating the process of ABI versioning and distribution. The team shared challenges encountered during development and discussed plans for future enhancements.

A third segment focused on Cha-Ching, a builder incentive tool developed during a recent hackathon. The system uses GitHub activity to generate on-chain points, which could be integrated with DAO governance or contributor rewards. AxLabs noted that Cha-Ching is part of the Filecoin Alpha Cohort and will leverage decentralized storage for auditability.

According to AxLabs, future episodes of Talk is Cheap will continue to highlight development insights, internal projects, and AxLabs’ perspectives on design and infrastructure in Web3. The team emphasized that the show will remain casual and conversational, offering a candid look at the work that typically happens “before the code.”
