Berkshire Hathaway announced that this letter, which will be the first public address by legendary investor Warren Buffett, 94, after announcing in May that he would step down as CEO by the end of the year, will be published on Monday, November 10.
According to Berkshire, the letter will include Buffett’s philanthropy, his thoughts on the company, and his assessment of “other matters of interest to shareholders and the public.” The letter is seen as Buffett’s official farewell message to Berkshire Hathaway, which he led for more than six decades and built from a textile mill into a global giant.
Buffett has been focusing on selling stocks lately. Berkshire has been a net seller of stocks for 12 consecutive quarters. Analysts believe Berkshire may have trimmed its position in Apple again in the third quarter.
Despite all these developments, Berkshire Hathaway shares lagged the S&P 500 throughout the year following Buffett’s retirement. Shares are expected to rise about 10 percent in 2025, while the broader market index is up 14.4 percent.
