Binance’s Investment Arm Invests Over $10 Million in a Cryptocurrency Project – CZ to Participate as an Advisor

YZi Labs made a multi-eighth-figure (over $10 million) investment in Genius Trading last month.
Along with the investment, it was announced that Binance co-founder CZ has also joined the venture as an advisor. Genius Trading, which previously raised $7 million in funding, is developing a decentralized trading terminal that prioritizes privacy.
Genius Trading aims to offer spot trading, perpetual futures trading, and copy trading features through a self-custodial, multi-chain terminal. The platform aims to provide professional investors with high speed and low friction by integrating liquidity from more than 10 blockchains into a single interface. The company plans to release its privacy layer as a public beta in the second quarter of 2026.
In a statement by YZi Labs, it was argued that the primary goal of the investment is to bring the speed, liquidity, and transaction privacy offered by centralized exchanges (CEXs) to an on-chain environment without compromising user ownership. While the share of decentralized exchanges (DEXs) in trading volume is increasing, the “transparency problem,” particularly faced by professional investors – the inability to move large positions to the market without signaling – has become a significant issue.
