Changpeng Zhao (CZ), a leading figure in the cryptocurrency sector, said that crypto assets could become as widespread as the internet within the next five years. Speaking in an interview with Scott Melker, Zhao expressed his belief that crypto technology will become an integral part of daily life.
According to Zhao, cryptocurrencies will become more widely adopted and mainstream thanks to expanding use cases and technological advancements. Specifically, CZ noted that blockchain technology will not be limited to financial transactions, predicting its widespread use in diverse areas such as data storage.
Zhao also emphasized that artificial intelligence (AI) will make a significant contribution to the crypto and blockchain ecosystem, stating that AI technologies will accelerate software development processes and facilitate the emergence of new applications. CZ also suggested that in the future, AI agents could become one of the main actors using cryptocurrencies.
Zhao identified the internet, blockchain, and artificial intelligence as the three most critical technological fields of today. He stated that countries failing to adopt any of these could face a significant competitive disadvantage, and emphasized the need for governments and institutions to invest more in these technologies.
Experts point out that regulatory clarity, user-friendly applications, and a strengthened security infrastructure are needed for the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, while Zhao’s predictions indicate the long-term growth potential of the sector.
