$1,000 invested in Nvidia stock two months ago is now worth

Investors who put $1,000 into Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock two months ago have gained about $109 ahead of the company’s highly anticipated earnings release.
Notably, Nvidia shares rose from $192 on June 26 to $213 by press time on August 26, delivering an 11% return despite recent volatility in the stock.

At the current price, a $1,000 investment made on June 26 would now be worth approximately $1,109. The gain comes as Nvidia prepares to report fiscal second-quarter results after the market closes today, August 26, an event that could determine the stock’s next major move.
The recent advance is particularly notable given that Nvidia entered earnings week under pressure.
The technology giant had fallen for seven consecutive sessions, shedding roughly 7.5% before rebounding.
As things stand, Wall Street is expecting another strong quarter from the AI chipmaker. For the fiscal second quarter ended in late July, Nvidia guided for revenue of $91 billion, plus or minus 2%, and a non-GAAP gross margin of approximately 75%.
Analysts expect revenue closer to $92 billion, nearly double the level reported a year ago. Adjusted earnings are projected to come in at about $2.09 per share.

Investors will be focused on management’s outlook for the current quarter, with consensus estimates calling for roughly $104 billion in third-quarter revenue. Any guidance above that level could provide a fresh catalyst for the stock.
The market will also be watching for updates on the Blackwell rollout and early contributions from Nvidia’s next-generation Rubin architecture, both of which are expected to play a key role in the company’s long-term growth strategy.
