Binance Founder CZ Answers the Question “Bitcoin or Gold?”, Makes a Price Prediction for BTC!

As the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market continues to experience turbulent times, Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has made important statements regarding $BTC and gold.

Accordingly, CZ stated that Bitcoin could become a more important asset than gold in the future.

Speaking at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 event, CZ offered his assessment of Bitcoin’s long-term potential.

CZ argues that Bitcoin has more advantageous features compared to gold, and predicts that interest in Bitcoin and similar digital assets will increase in the global financial system in the long term.

Bitcoin is a Better Asset Than Gold!

CZ first stated that Bitcoin’s limited supply, digital nature, and global transferability differentiate it from traditional store of value.

CZ argues that Bitcoin could eventually surpass gold and become a more important reserve asset for investors and governments, stating that with increased Bitcoin adoption, $BTC could assume a portion of the role currently held by gold in the global financial system.

CZ Sends a Message to Countries Regarding Cryptocurrency Reserves!

CZ also argued that governments should consider creating reserves for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Noting that many countries do not yet have cryptocurrency reserves, CZ stated that the creation of strategic digital asset reserves by governments could be important for long-term economic development.

Big Prediction for Bitcoin!

CZ also made statements regarding his $BTC price target. He stated that he believes Bitcoin will reach the $1 million level, adding that this might not take a 25-year period as some predictions suggest.

At this point, CZ doesn’t think it will take 25 years for Bitcoin to reach $1 million, and he expects it to happen much faster.

“I think it would be a good thing if Bitcoin reached $1,000,000. And it will happen. I don’t think we need 25 years. I think it will happen much faster.”

Finally, CZ pointed out that Bitcoin’s future shouldn’t be judged solely by its price increase.

CZ stated that Bitcoin should have broader use cases, emphasizing the importance of wider adoption, particularly in payment systems. He also expressed his expectation that Bitcoin could be considered as a reserve asset for pension funds.
