The Balance is Shifting in Bitcoin Treasury Companies: One is on Hold, One Continues Buying, and Another Has Zeroed Out Its BTC Holdings!

On September 14, 2026 by voice

Strateg, one of the world’s largest institutional Bitcoin holders, spent the week without making any purchases, as has been the case for a long time, after a week of buying.

The company, which has been making headlines in recent weeks with its $BTC sales, currently holds 845,050 $BTC.

Strategy is Not Continued with Bitcoin Purchases!

According to a statement by Strategy founder Michael Saylor, Strategy neither bought nor sold Bitcoin last week.

“…As of 13/09/2026, we own 845,050 $BTC.”

Instead, the company bought back the preferred shares of STRC for $139.3 million.

Saylor added in his statement that the company financed the STRC repurchase entirely from its cash reserves. At this point, the company’s USD reserves decreased by approximately $140 million, from $6.54 billion to $6.4 billion, due to the repurchase of STRC preferred shares.

The company proposed an approximate ‘USD Term’ of 3.9 years, during which time it can meet its financial obligations, such as dividends and interest, using its dollar assets. This means it can meet its payment obligations for approximately 3.9 years with its existing dollar assets, without needing to adjust Bitcoin prices or raise new funds.

Meanwhile, another Bitcoin treasury company, Strive, also acquired 469 $BTC. Strive CEO Matt Cole stated on the X platform that Strive purchased 469 $BTC last week at an average price of $77,954. Strive currently holds a total of 25,000 $BTC.

Bitcoin Assets Dropped to Zero!

KULR Technology, a Bitcoin treasury company listed on the NYSE, has sold its remaining Bitcoin holdings. In an 8-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company reported selling approximately 764 Bitcoin through open market operations between August 20 and September 11, 2026.

The sales were conducted at an average price of $76,633 per Bitcoin, generating approximately $58.6 million in gross revenue. KULR stated that the transactions were carried out as part of ongoing treasury management activities.

With the completion of the sale on September 11, KULR’s Bitcoin holdings dropped to zero. The company thus completely exited its Bitcoin treasury strategy, which was previously a significant part of it. *This is not investment advice.
