BlackRock scoops up over $1 billion of this crypto in 20 days

Although Bitcoin ($BTC) price has remained in a choppy consolidation between August 20, 2026, and September 15, BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK), through its iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), has purchased assets worth over $1 billion in this period.

BlackRock’s IBIT bought Bitcoin valued at approximately $1.218 billion over the past 20 stock-trading days, according to data from SoSoValue. As such, IBIT net assets is about $62.22 billion at the time of writing.

Since August 26, BlackRock’s IBIT has recorded seven days of cash inflow, amounting to roughly $1.515 billion. During the same period, this spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has registered six days of cash outflows, totaling approximately $297.8 million.

As such, BlackRock has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 786,654.3389 $BTC at the time of reporting, based on the company’s official data.

BlackRock dominates U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs

Over the past 20 stock trading days, the United States spot $BTC ETFs saw a net cash inflow of $956.71 million, as per updates from SoSoValue. Notably, the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs followed a similar trend, with BlackRock’s IBIT daily cash flow, thus highlighting its dominance.

As a result, these funds had $100.09 billion in net assets at the time of publication.

Bitcoin price performance

Despite IBIT helping the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs net accumulate since August 26, $BTC price has remained in a choppy consolidation. During the past 30 days, Bitcoin price has surged 20.78%, trading at $76,330 at the time of publication.

Over the last 24 hours, Bitcoin’s trading volume rose by 28.69%, hovering at $32.38 billion at press time. If BlackRock continues to net-purchase $BTC, Bitcoin’s recent Bitcoin’s bullish momentum could continue.
