Chainlink Connects 600+ Banks to Onchain Payments

Bottomline, a top-three Swift service provider moving more than $16 trillion in payments annually, has launched Global Pay Connect, a new onchain payment connectivity platform for 600+ banks powered by Chainlink. The move gives financial institutions a direct route into blockchain-based payment infrastructure without forcing them to rebuild existing systems.

Chainlink Brings 600+ Banks Onchain

Chainlink extends Bottomline’s platform through its interoperability and orchestration infrastructure. CCIP connects Bottomline’s payments infrastructure to blockchain networks through a single, network-agnostic integration model, while CRE coordinates payment workflows across onchain and offchain systems.

That combination matters because institutions can access onchain payment rails through the Swift network and payment messaging standards they already use. They don’t need to replatform or create bespoke integrations for every blockchain network.

Global Pay Connect Targets Existing Payment Rails

Bottomline’s Global Pay Connect puts the focus on connectivity rather than another standalone payment system. With 600+ banks already within the platform, the partnership connects established financial infrastructure with the onchain economy through Chainlink.

The setup also links payment workflows across traditional and blockchain systems, giving financial institutions a route to blockchain networks while retaining the infrastructure and standards they already rely on.

$LINK Price Faces Critical September Test

Meanwhile, $LINK price has been under pressure after facing rejection at the $13.50 resistance level in early September. By mid-September, $LINK declined toward the 50-day EMA band, making that level the immediate technical focus.

If $LINK price holds the 50-day EMA through the end of September, the price could form a recovery pattern and retest $13.50 or potentially move toward $18.00. But if the 50-day EMA fails to hold, $LINK price could fall toward $8.00, with $6.00 or lower becoming the downside level highlighted by the provided setup.
