Hyperbridge, a Rollup on Polkadot, Expands Verifiable Interoperability to Polygon Mainnet

[Zurich, Switzerland – September, 2025] – Hyperbridge announces the official mainnet integration of Polygon into its cross-chain network. After a successful testnet phase, the integration is now live, showing Hyperbridge’s capability to facilitate seamless connectivity across the Web3 landscape.

With $141 billion in transfer volume, Polygon is a cornerstone of the Ethereum scaling ecosystem. This new integration creates a powerful two-way bridge, making Polygon one of the destinations for Hyperbridge users and developers.

Hyperbridge serves as a cryptoeconomic co-processor on Polkadot, providing secure and verifiable cross-chain messaging and token transfers. By adding Polygon to its list of supported networks, which already includes Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, zkVerify, and Gnosis, among others, Hyperbridge significantly expands Polkadot’s interoperability footprint and strengthens its role as a multichain hub.

This integration comes hot on the heels of Hyperbridge’s recent decentralisation of consensus relayers. These relayers are incentivised by the Hyperbridge treasury, which holds 40% of the BRIDGE (Hyperbridge’s native token) supply.

Developers and users on Polygon can now securely bridge between the connected networks on Hyperbridge. Unlike traditional multisig-based bridges, Hyperbridge leverages zk-light clients and finality proofs to authenticate cross-chain messages. This approach provides a level of security equivalent to the blockchains themselves, ensuring trustless interoperability for users.

Hyperbridge’s progress has been reinforced by strong momentum across development, community, and investment. Its Initial Relayer Offering raised $2.8 million. This builds on the $2.5 million seed round led by the Web3 Foundation and Scytale Digital, and was further strengthened with a strategic investment from Harbour Industrial Capital, signalling sustained confidence in Hyperbridge’s long-term vision. The protocol has done several critical integrations in recent times, namely with ZKVerify, Enjin, and Hydration (Polkadot’s largest DEx with over $330 million in TVL). The protocol also continues to undergo rigorous security audits by the same teams that audit Polkadot, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
