Citigroup has set its 12-month Bitcoin price forecast at $181,000, reflecting the global banking giant’s bullish outlook on the pioneering cryptocurrency.
The bank’s analysts have emphasized that Bitcoin’s price dynamics are primarily influenced by buyer interest, with their base case assuming robust year-end inflows of $7.5 billion into the asset.
Citi noted that the year-end target for Bitcoin was revised down from $135,000 to $133,000 amid headwinds from a stronger dollar and weaker gold, though the “digital gold” narrative remains intact and is expected to sustain inflows.
