As the government shutdown continues in the US, US President Donald Trump is preparing for a special invitation.
US President Donald Trump will host a private dinner for Wall Street’s top CEOs today, according to Reuters.
A White House official confirmed to Reuters that Trump would meet with financial leaders but did not confirm the list of attendees.
Among those attending the dinner will be JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Nasdaq chairman Adena Friedman, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and Morgan Stanley CEO Ted Pick.
Trump’s dinner was reportedly held as a demonstration of his desire to collaborate with financial leaders on policies to increase the competitiveness of capital markets and rebuild domestic supply chains.
JPMorgan previously announced that it will invest $1.5 trillion (about 2.201 trillion won) over the next 10 years in sectors critical to national security and economic recovery, such as supply chains, manufacturing, defense, energy self-sufficiency and advanced technology.
